First off, open your trunk and look at the inside plastic molding for two circular panels (about the position of each taillight on each side of the trunk). Pop off each of these panels with your screwdriver - this won't require much effort as there are notched openings on the panels. Once you have the panel removed, you will be able to see a black plastic wing-nut on the inside of the fender. Remove these wing-nuts from each side (counter-clockwise rotation...lefty-loosey!)
