i've always wondered, too, and being the incredibly anal person i am, thought i'd compile a list. now i know! it's soooooo preeeeeeeety! all that aside, i have to say, the colors are getting boring! looks like they might be trying to market to a more 'adult' crowd. boo!

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Default about the '98 dark blue

Hey, I guess even though in the picture I sent you it just says dark blue it is probably Batik blue, for the 1998 beetle. Did you get the picture I sent you? Please let me know!

galactic or batik blue in 1998? i notice galactic doesn't show up again until 2003, so did you mean batik blue in 1998?

the paint codes came from paintscratch.com...is it possible the color name changed, but the actual paint code did not?

i am guessing batik, since galactic doesn't show up until much later. it'd be weird to have a 1998 galactic, 1999 - 2002 batik and then go back to galactic in 2004. i found the code for tornado red (i believe). can anyone verify?

does anyone have the paint codes for 2006? i don't think paintscratch.com has it right. looking for codes for the blue, red and green.

reposting charts again!

batik blue wasn't introduced till the 1999 models.

there was no dark blue in the 1998 new beetle colour line up.

For the Satellite blue beetle. I was told it's called Malibu Blue. And thanks for listing all those colors. Very nice.

All we need now is a VW America to Europe convertor!

For instance, is my Raven Blue the same thing as Ravenna Blue?

wasn't there also a color called "Dreamcicle" for the convertible in it's first year or two?

that's the original color we were looking at until they replaced it with Harvest Moon.

Hey I was looking to paint the "glove box" and the actual glove box, the part thats under the steering wheel, and then the actual glove compartment, I have a 2001 yellow NB (LD 1B/J5) but I can't seem to find it on any websites, also does anyone have any suggestions on if you should sand these pieces down, and how to do it? And also, lastly, what kind of gun should I use to paint it? Please help, I know you guys know everything, so share the wealth, I wanna get this done to show you all how it comes out!

Question

Hi, Guys!
I have a yellow 2000 NB GLS 1.8T. According to Callisto9's paint list, my code should be LW2B(reflex yellow).
But when I checked up the owner manual or the trunk, the paint No. over there is 0000. Are they 4 zeros or 4 letter Os? Why it is so different from that LW2B? Anything wrong?
Thanks a lot in advance!
