more pics! nothing too exciting going on here, but i've had to work days. i did have the afternoon off yesterday, so we bummed about town.
#1: alan at best buy, buying some ELO #2: alan in starbucks, not smoking #3: alan smoking outside of starbucks #4: alan getting his trail mix on at the grocery store #5: alan outside on our deck, after some grillin'. we have two more nights left. possible movie this evening.

alan took off this morning! he was a good house guest and didn't steal anything or have a party or anything!
 we enjoyed having alan and had a nice time, even if there's nothing to do in iowa. here's my alan product endorsement: i would recommend alan. no side-effects. good conversation, easy to get along with and lets you drive his car. alan also fits well in beetles and has been known to buy dinner for iowa residents. sorry's there no more pics to post - when you're in iowa and there's only one beetle, there's not too much to photograph! i do think i got some candid shots though. drive safely home alan! say hello to ellen when you meet her on the way home! May 25. Left Erin, Mike and, after stopping at IHOP for breakfast, Bettendorf.
Arranged to meet up en route home with Ellen before my phone died (due to past due bill). We arrived simultaneously at a McDonald's around noon. (Photo will be posted later.) Since Ellen had to be at work soon, we didn't have much time, but what we did have passed quickly and very pleasantly. Arrived at Maumee, Ohio at the dinner hour and stopped for the night at a too hot room at the Econo Lodge. Dinner was mediocre Italian fare, but I also found a Cingular office and restored phone service. May 26. Left Maumee after a so so breakfast at the Waffle House and cashing my payroll check to cover travel expenses. Soon after, I got caught in a brief but nasty rain storm. With several stops for rest and/or food I arrived at my friend's house in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, where I'll be spending the night. I should be arriving home sometime on Sunday. Sorry I missed the DC get together, but as I predicted, I was too tired.

HOME!
Okay, so I decided to spend Sunday night at my friend's house, expecting to leave early Monday morning and beat what might be some heavy holiday traffic. Left about 6 a.m., stopped for a mediocre Burger King breakfast (why do I go to these places?), and arrived home at 10 a.m.. Stopped twice, once because I still feel exhausted and once for coffee. I'd like to say it feels good to be home again. But I'd rather still be in Iowa.
