I guess I wasn't kidding when I said I was starting off slow! Okay, I suppose I can tease you with a couple more.
Here's one from when I met up with some friends from Oklahoma City soon after they got their Batik Blue TDI. We're at the Rock Cafe on Route 66 in Stroud, OK. The restaurant is owned by the woman that Sally the Porsche was based off of for the movie Cars!
Here are a couple of shots of the Katzkins seats I had installed a couple of years ago. I was out of town for the weekend, so I dropped off the car at the upholsterer's, and when I got back this is what I saw!
I was driving back from Robber's Cave state park with some friends a few years ago and had to stop at this place for a couple of pictures. As you can see, the car is in its much more traditional Beetlemania mode, sans wings.
And then these are from the Parson's Katy Days show-and-shine (and dry a couple of times) before the annual parade in Parsons, Kansas, once again in winged wonder.
This was on the way to Roswell a couple of years ago, on my very first CaraBug! Howie, the Metric American who happened to be leading our pack, suggested we all take this picture. I was happy to!
Here I am with the DFW crew near the end of the '04 Texas New Beetle RoundUp. We did a cruise to Dealey Square in downtown Dallas, and I was perfectly framed by Bugs! That's me with my arm out. Hooray! Oh, I mean, Yeehaw!
And I'll end (for now) with a picture of me and Abbey, from the DFW club, lined up to go to the drive-in movie after the show. Why must I make weird faces for cameras? I refuse to just smile.
