  1. SOLD BeetleJuice

    Vehicle Classifieds
Wow... I certainly wasn't expecting such interest. It reminds that as much as I love my Bug, the sense of community here is why I love the 'org. We have really great moderators like Dyned and good Samaritans like Scarab who really keep the sense of family alive here. I am a firm believer in...
  2. SOLD BeetleJuice

    Vehicle Classifieds
Hi everyone, back state side again and sadly it's time to set the Bug free. Selling my '02 Turbo S BeetleJuice. I would prefer to sell it to a fellow 'orger. I will be in the US for a month or two so i'm in no great hurry to sell it before I head back across the pond. 190,000 + miles, recent...
  3. Sad day

    Miscellaneous Hoo-Ha
Hi everyone, long time since I've been on the forums. I've been across the pond with work a great deal of the time, and as a result of that i'll be moving to the UK permanently soon. Sadly enough it means i'll be parting with my tried and trusted psychotic homicidal gnarly awesome...
  4. Removing AC compressor, need input

    1.8 Liter Turbo
Title says it all, i'm refreshing the AC system in Beetlejuice and I am looking for a DIY on removing the AC compressor. Looks like I will definitely be removing the alternator in the process, I am hoping there is a DIY somewhere with pics, a list of tools needed and most importantly a...
  5. Chef-modded headlights 2.0

    Styling Modifications
I decided to refresh Beetlejuice's headlights and modernize them a bit while I was at it. My original modded headlights looked great but age was getting to the lenses. After a great deal of searching online I got a great deal on two new Turbo S spec headlight assemblies, only paid $250.95 with...

  7. Ok 1.8t gurus, I need you...

    1.8 Liter Turbo
Thank you for the response. To clarify, I am trying to find a complete radiator hose kit that meets or is better than OEM. The silicone kit I linked to was the only 'kit' I have found so far. If I can find a kit that includes the coolant hose that goes from the after run pump to the turbo then...
  8. Ok 1.8t gurus, I need you...

    1.8 Liter Turbo
I am replacing the fans, radiator and all related hoses on my 02 Turbo S. I'm finding some conflicting information on the ol' internet. I can see that some of the upper hoses run to T's, but the problem I am having is in buying the hoses themselves. Many of them are cut to fit and many others...
  9. New style of the Head light for 99~05 New Beetle

    Technical Modifications
Hey man, great to hear from you! I've been going non-stop for a while now, had very little time for leisure. I have a few bug-related projects soon, will try to post a DIY on the chef-modded lights soon. So many projects, so little time...
  10. Help a girl out!

    1.8 Liter Turbo
Crankshaft position sensor, locate behind the oil filter. I forget what the VW/Audi name for the part is, but I had the same problem and replaced that last year and it was an instant fix. Hope this helps, Chef
  11. anyone have pics of the "mean looking" eyelids?

    Styling Modifications
After some trial and error and one really bad internet purchase, I decided to buy a small, cheap sheet of carbon fiber look vinyl wrap and make my own. They have lasted over two years and look fine, haven't faded a bit. I can remove them and then put new ones one pretty much any time, and I can...
  12. WTB roof rack part

    Marketplace Archives
OK I know this is a long shot (really long) but somehow one of the lock covers on my roof rack came off. Does anyone have one to sell or know where I can buy one? Thanks, Chef
  13. Headlight help needed

    2.5 Liter Gas
When my '02 started going through headlight bulbs I opened the headlight casing and discovered that the wires had cracked insulation and the bare parts of the wires were touching together and causing the bulbs to blow. A roll of electrical tape fixed the issue. Hope this helps, Chef
