  2. Power loss on acceleration

    2.0 Liter Gas
Well I had taken the car back to the shop the next day and waited all day(from 9:00am to 5:30pm) so they can tell me that they couldn't find a throttle body to use to test. So I just told the guy to charge me the injector work that was done. I paid around 860.00pesos(about $70.00US) and went...
  3. New beetle black edition 2010 for mexico

    Rumors and Insights
Looks really nice but considering how HOT it gets over here in some parts of Mexico I wouldn't get one. I'd fry in one of those. I do like it though :D I'm pretty sure you can. I believe they make them to US federal standards as far as safety equipment(airbags, abs etc.. ) and not to mention...
  4. VW(Mexico) MidSize TDI Pick-Up

    Rumors and Insights
I went to the stealership yesterday to make an appointment for service. While I was there I noticed a decent looking vw truck. Went to check it out and a salesman aproached me to see if I wanted to take it for a test drive. I decline and said that it just caught my eye because I didn't know VW...
  5. Power loss on acceleration

    2.0 Liter Gas
Doesn't the car overheat when the CAT is plugged, or is that or rare ocassions? The funny thing is that at low to moderate speeds it'll be smooth but as soon as I gun it it bogs down to the point that I have to take it out of gear and let it idle for a few seconds before I put it back in gear...
  6. Power loss on acceleration

    2.0 Liter Gas
Sup Gals/Guys, Haven't been here in awhile, well here's my prob: my car has been sitting for a little over 3months. I get back and of course batt is dead. I jump started it and now it looses power when I give it gas, to the point were it almost dies. I haven't had a chance to take it to...
  7. VW Beetle icon for the Garmin GPS

    Styling Modifications
I messed around with the colors on the nb garmin icon. I came up with these. The daytime ones look good though but when the gps switches over to nighttime the images change with the exeption of the red nb. Unless you configure your gps displays color mode to be on Daytime all the time:p If...
  8. VW Beetle icon for the Garmin GPS

  9. Has anyone installed this HID kit???

    Technical Modifications
Like DZLBUG said, go with the 35W kit. The first kit I got was a Slim Ballast 55w kit but it seemed too bright so I went back and got a 35w kit(Slim Ballast) Both 5000K's. As far as relay kits go, I didn't use one and I haven't had any problems with the wiring and I'm going on a year with it and...
  10. Has anyone installed this HID kit???

    Technical Modifications
They don't fit, those are 3" and the one's that fit the nb are 2.5" which don't come in Bi-Xenon afaik.
  11. The HID DIY

    Technical Modifications
The first kit I bought from them was the 5000k 55w(Slim Ballast) but it seemed too bright IMO, so I went back and got a 35w(Slim Ballast) kit.
  12. Has anyone installed this HID kit???

    Technical Modifications
I bought 3 kits(Slim Ballast) from them. Being that they're somewhat local I didn't order from them, I just stopped by their store/warehouse and bought them. I'm going on a year with no problems from my HID's. $30.00 with LifeTime Warranty, can't beat it. There ARE "drop-in" kits for for...
  13. The HID DIY

    Technical Modifications
I've never purchased from them, but check out these guys DDMTuning.com their ballast are smaller than the ones picture in the hidkit.com website and they're cheaper in price along with LifeTime Warranty on their kits(Bulbs and all). I got my kits(3k, 5k, and 6k) from them.
  14. The HID DIY

    Technical Modifications
On my stock projectors I'm running 5000k bulbs, I also have some E-Code projectors which have some 6000k bulbs and I have to say that though the 6000k bulbs have a nice color the output is crappy in my opinion. I'm much happier with the 5000k bulbs. I can see better with the 5k than with the 6k...
  15. Remount Fog Lights... best method?

    Technical Modifications
My fogs tabs broke along time ago, I used 2 zip-ties(the kind that has the metal locking tab) to mount them back up. The crappy diagram kinda sorta shows how I used the zipties. Makes sense?
