History
Bought the car new at Timmons Volkswagen in Long Beach, CA. It only had 11 miles on the odometer once I have purchased it 3 days before my birthday. Right now the car has around a super low 35k miles and it has been garaged since brand new. I have made small to big changes with the car starting with the wheels, coilovers, LED headlights, and other items that I'm not going to go into full detail. I also have it compete in car shows in which I have won a few trophies and ROTM victories from the org. I love this little car and I'm nowhere close to finish because I'm always aiming to push the bar and I'm not looking back.

Is it possible to fit a 2012 Beetle side mirror and steering wheel on a 2003 Beetle?

I don't know about a side mirror I however I have seen 2012+ steering wheel swaps into a new beetle once. I forgot the year but it looked cool I even thought about doing that myself for a minute but I decided to with a Euro-spec steering wheel with gloss black spokes.

I like the color combination on your dash. Eventually I'm planning on adding red dash.

I actually got it on sale for $182.00. I got it a week after I got my headlights.
Sounds like a bargain! The headlamps I saw on bugsgogo were a little too pricey. Is there a particular name for your headlamps so I can search for them on eBay.

You could try looking at spyder headlights and there are other products you can find on ebay as well.

Here is my painted OEM beauty cover. It's painted to a deep black with a polished finish along with red accents to make it pop. The surface is real smooth and slick. The engine bay is going to have a complete look once it's ready to be installed.
