Every now and then (about once a monty) my 02 1.8 turbo will not start. Turns over fine but will not fire. The car has to sit for a couple of days then it will crank. Any one else have this problem?

Welcome, hope you get an answer. Had my 1.8t for 15k miles with a total of 120k on him when I traded. Had many issues but none like you describe. Have you checked for any codes?

Yea. I have 1 code, don'tremember the number but the code states (Generic Serial Communications Link). Last time it would not crank,had a bad smell of burnt fuel and a bunch of white smoke from tailpipe when U spin it over. I removed the plugs (Dripping with raw fuel) and cleaned them. Car started up and ran fine until I cut it off. woulg not satrt again. Bout ready to part it out.
