Hey all!

I'm new to this forum and it looks to be a great source of information!

I have a problem on my '05 NB TDI. After changing the wipers' motor, the driver's wiper hits the frame when in use. In parked position, it is also below the plastic trim at the base of the windshield.

I took it to a mechanic and he told me that when we change the motor, it is advised to change a regulator which controls the course of the wiper. Did he mean the linkage?

When I changed the motor, I inspected the linkage and it looked fine (no corrosion).

Does anyone know what to do?

Thanks for your help!

When I got my New Beetle, right off of the showroom floor; the wiper hit the window frame. I took it to the service dept.; they never figured out the "problem". Frustrated, that they were not helpful; I just took off the wiper arm and adjusted it, so it didn't hit the frame, I "fixed" the problem. I would just adjust the arm and you should be fine, that is what I did and it's still not hitting the frame, to this day.
