06 convertible top latch wont lock

06 New Beetle convertible...Just replaced my micro switch because top would freeze while shutting then after 5 minutes it would continue the process. Right latch would not lock, I was hoping once the micro switch was replaced it would fix the problem of locking latch. Now when you try to open the top, it completes the process without waiting for 5 minutes, the latch on left locks fine, but the latch on right still will not lock down. any suggestions? I have not ran a scan at all, just doing a little work at a time after reading posts here.
