1999 2.0 automatic shifter

the button you push to put the automatic into drive or back to park likes to stick in. This allows for the shifter to be bumped into a lower gear or when you go to park it doesnt lock in to get the keys out.

This doesnt happen all the time, But I was wondering how do I take the top part off the shifter to clean it up and possibly lubricate it so it stops sticking in...any suggestions?

I ended up taking a spray bottle of 70% alcohol. spraying the button and working it in and out then wiping it off. it worked great for a day then stuck again so I repeated the alcohol and cleaning of the button a couple times now no more sticking :)
