Hello all,
Maybe someone here can answer my question or reference a thread that has the answer.

I am replacing the FCM to address A/C cooling issues. I know where it's located and from what I have read I need to remove the battery holder / plate to access the bolts to the FCM.

After removing the battery, I see that all of the wires from fuse box on top of the battery run down the back and are attached to the battery holder/ plate. Do I need to remove the wiring runway to get the battery holder out?

thx

yes

Yes it's just a plastic cover type runway for the wires. I did this job last December and I think remember removing that out of the way. Clean the chasis battery (negative) grounding wire while you're down there it usually needs it. I posted a thread with pictures in the 1.8T section about this called caution. Good luck man
