Ok, this is the 2000 TDI 1.9L version.
Thinking the fuel sender was dead, i got a new one installed today (the "pump" sitting in the tank, reachable from the back seat.)
I primed the line to the fuel filter, then the line going to the injection pump, so I have diesel going into the pump.
I pretty much have no air bubbles anymore but the engine still won't start.
Can anyone tell me what to do next ?
Could the injection pump be dead ?
Also, theoretically, if I take off the fuel line that plugs to the injection pump, and try to crank the engine, should diesel be coming out of it the line ?

I would be very grateful for any input..

Ok, never mind, I got it going.
The injection pump was full of air so I vacuumed it, and it started right away!
