So I have 2000 VW NEW BEETLE and it's giving me too many problems. I left it parked for a month, and when I attempted to turn it on, it wouldn't. So I figured let me get the jumper cables and see if anyone can give a jump...and it worked!

But after that...it wouldn't shift into any gear. But I fixed that, I replaced a speed sensor and FINALY! It shifted! But now my problem is the AC! It blows hot air, so there I go again, I replaced the AC compressor switch and nothing. Still didn't work..could it be the compressor?

Anyone had a similar problem? Any ideas of what it could be?

The problem is often the contacts for a fuse on the panel above the battery. See this:

It is for a Jetta, but the New Beetle is very similar.

They checked the fuses from above the battery and some of the ones inside the car. and no luck :/

The problem with the fuse above the battery is not that it blows, but that it doesn't make contact with the wiring. First, confirm that the compressor clutch does not engage when you switch the A/C on. If not, then with the switch still on wiggle the leftmost green fuse in its socket and see if the clutch will engage.
