Hi there ! my Beetle won't shift ( Reverse) only first start in the morning, I have to play around (Park)(N) (D) (R)for 1 or 2 minute and then it work ...all day long run fine ...still next morning ..any one have same my Beetle please help...thank you

You likely have a valve body/solenoid issue and likely a trans with hardened rubber clutch pack seals.

Mileage on car and what are the temps you are experiencing this issue?

The other thing you may be a bit low on fluid, the fluid expands when warmed up.

Has the fluid ever been changed?

Might be worth a fluid change and to make sure the level is correct as well.
