I have a 2001 Beetle that is apparently eating fan controller modules. We had a problem with the pressure sensor on it, as well as the fan controller module. I replaced them both and everything worked fine.
About three weeks later, the fan controller went out again. When it did, the AC compressor stayed engaged ALL THE TIME. This caused the battery to drain while it was parked. My wife had to disconnect the battery when she parked, and then reconnect it when she came out to drive it. I replaced the fan controller module underneath the battery again, and it all worked fine again... for about three weeks.
This time when it failed, both of the radiator cooling fans stopped working, and the AC panel is dead. No compressor and no cabin fan.
I have ordered another fan controller module, but am wondering what could be causing the car to keep ruining them. Other things on the car that are new...
Any help is much appreciated.

- The ac pressure sensor.
- The fuse panel on top of the battery.
Any help is much appreciated.
