Question: I just noticed my driver's side door does not lock from the inside when I press the lock button. I took it to a local place that specializes in VW's. He said the model of my car does not lock for safety reasons-to keep you from locking your keys in your car. In order to actually lock your doors, you have to either use the key from the door itself, or use the remote. This is odd. I have never heard of this before, until I asked a co-worker and he said his Honda does this.
This kind of annoys me? My old Ford had power locks and I was so used to just pressing that button from the door because I never had a remote key. It's just odd to me.
So my question is, does anyone else have this feature?
Just curious.....
