HPA Motorsports, was doing "RSi" type conversions over the years and I always assumed, the Audi TT Quattro rear pan was used or maybe, they got factory RSi panels? Tell us more, about the pan installation; is it a exact fit or are there modifications, that are needed? It was said, the Audi TT and Mark IV platform were very similar and supposedly, close to the New Beetle as well. Thoughts?

It basically fits . Some trimming it the rear of pan to make it fit and on the frame rails. But the rest goes right in . It's not a super easy thing to do for sure. I can see why they charge so much for it

So, was the tub; Quattro TT panel; just spot welded in or did you also, add some panel adhesive or are we looking at body panel seam sealer? Did you somehow; measure different points on the TT, before panel removal and use similar points on the New Beetle chassis, to get everything correctly in place?

It's just welded in and that is seam sealer. And yes it goes into the frame rail and that basically lined it up perfectly. The TT tube is straight across to clear the rear end . So just getting the height in the back was the key
