My beetle makes a humming noise for about 10 min after shutoff. It seems to be coming from under the middle of the car and not the engine area. I keep it in the garage otherwise I may not even notice since it’s a very slight hum. Is this normal?

Which engine do you have? If the 1.8T, the sound is typically, the electric auxiliary water pump; that continues to run, circulate engine coolant and cool off the turbocharger.
