Good day to all. My name is Raul. I live in MExico, near the Texas border, and I've been a VW fan since i can remember.

I have an aircooled 68 bug.

I might be purchasing a 2004 Turbo S (Black, Platinum gray are scarse!) and I would like to know if you could advice a brother on what to check these cars for...

Parts to be replaced soon

Other than the obvious parts which are easy to diagnose, I'm rather new to the water cooled side of VW...but i Love me some Turbo S, none the less..

The car has 130K miles, so you know. No accidents, apparently all in one piece. Any information is valuable to me.

Thanks and I'm hoping to purchase it and be a contributing member of this community.

Best regards

See you later. I do hope i purchase the car.

I'm a little envious. I miss my Turbo S's.

I'm no mechanic, but I do know that if the water pump and timing belt have not been replaced, that would be the first thing to do!

I hope you do get it, though. The New Beetle Turbo S is so much fun, it should be illegal! :D

Thanks for the heads up... correct... Timing Belt and water pump will be a must to change specially if current owner don;t know when it was the last time it was changed.

Thanks!
