I just got my car back in December and it only has 43,000 miles on it but I'm not sure if the transmission fluid has been changed. I am concerned because the other day I went out to my car after work, started it (it revs at 1200 rpms when I start it now, stays loud until I put it in reverse and quiets down), but I put my car in reverse and it didn't seem to fall into gear?? It took a few seconds to start moving. Is my transmission fluid low?? How can I check

If it is a 6 speed Tiptronic the valve bodies are junk and it may be a bit early for valve body problems at your mileage, but the trans fluid has not likely been changed.

Checking and filling the trans is a bit unusual, but easy once you understand how to do it and have the correct fill parts.

Check the fluid first, to really check it you will have to fill trans and let it drain out to the proper level.
