The center console in my 2013 TDI goes from a vertical position to a lower position that is almost like a downward slope. I can sometimes get the console to stop in a middle position ( 90 degree) but its a pain in the butt. The manual doesn't say if the console has multiple positions and I haven't checked with the dealer as of yet. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.

If it's anything like the base Beetle, you have to put it all the way down, then pull it up to where you want it. It won't go down anymore, but it will continue to move upwards without resistance. It's a ratcheting mechanism, and a really poor design, just like a lot of the car.

Yup put it down, pull it up. I think I've noticed maybe 2 lock positions? Not sure. I just know that where I've got it at is perfect for shifting.
