Howdy folks,

I just traded in my 1999 Miata on a 2014 Beetle GSR. I was able to find a dealership that had one a week before they received it. I'm curious how many of them will be in certain areas. I picked this up in Naperville, IL. I was semi-interested in the latest model Beetle when it came out but it wasn't enough for me to pull the trigger. After seeing the GSR though it was pretty much exactly what I wanted in a new car.

I really love the yellow stitching in the steering wheel! Wish they would've done red with the red interior beetles

You were wondering how many are in certain areas, I went down to the local dealer, Volkswagen of Ocala, and they had one in the showroom. I stood and admired it for a good 5 minutes before remembering why I was actually there for

They tend to get the limited edition and rare cars. Just a few months ago they had and quickly sold the BMW 760Li 25th anniversary edition! It's one of 25 cars in the world with only like 5 or 10 allocated to America! I was just surprised to see such a car in my small town. We got to put a Escort 9500ci full stealth radar/laser system in it along with tint it. I just sat and drooled in it.

Wow, that GSR is pretty tight. I think ABD was trying to pull of something similar to this model; it never really looked right to me...VW nailed it.

Yes, that sounds awesome. I love driving it and have been looking for an excuse to take it on a road trip, I'll have to look into that. Unfortunately I was T-Boned by someone 26 days into owning it and it was in the repair shop from November 16th until about a week ago. It was quite the bummer and traumatic experience but I can finally put it behind me. They did an awesome job fixing it though and it looks and drives 100%, definitely worth the long wait. I'll get some more pictures soon!
