I hit 300000 miles on my 2001 TDI today on my way to work. Just wanted to post a pic and say thanks on a couple of forums that helped me keep my Beetle running this long. Hopefully, i will post a 400000 mile picture in a few years! Thanks to you all!

I didn't think that number was possible in ANY car!!! Had I been in charge of programming, I'd have plugged in a [/I]BUY NEW CAR[/I] odometer message somewhere around the 250K mark! Truly amazing!!!

300k is definitely possible IF you take care of your car. My dad's 96 Geo Metro died with just over 300k, although most of those miles were highway and it only had 2 functioning cylinders.

Lol, was it a 3 cylinder? In highschool I had a Geo Prizm that had 284,000 on it, ran perfect when I sold it.

217 miles and still 7/8 of a tank of fuel left! If he reset when he filled he is getting astounding mileage as well!
