I am going to order wheels this weekend for my 06 TDI Beetle. I am going with a 19x8 and 225 35 19 tires. I want the tires tucked in, will the 45mm offset work or will it rub on the inside? They are out of stock on the 35mm and nobody else has the good price on the wheels. He recomended getting the 45mm and use a spacer if needed. What do you experts think? I don't want the tire sticking out, I like it in as far as possible.
Thanks, Shawn

Hey i'm not anwsering your question, but how does offset work for a beetle?
And how do you know what offset to use for your car?

I have a 03' Beetle Turbo.

I vote for +35... I think 19x8 +45 with 225/40R19 will rub on the spring perch. If it doesn't rub, it will be EXTREMELY close to the point where tire brand and tire inflation will make a difference.

I'm running 18x8 +35 with 225/45R18 - a roll of Smarties will fit between the tire and the spring perch, but a roll of Life Savers will-not.
