Hey guys! Hope everybodys Christmas was well! Had a quick question on the auto in my 2001 2.0. I know its the valve body (ROUGH shift on 1-2, kinda slippy when cold). I have found the replacement part for 995, I was just wondering about the labor. What is all involved in replacing it? Its not something I was to do myself haha.

Valve body for $995 is too expensive. Is this a new one? New one will have the same problem as the current one after 70k miles anyway.

Get a reworked valve body, only about $500-$550.

You might want to replace the wiring harness inside the trans as well, I think it is about $75, the connectors are tiny and have issues.

You should be able to get a reworked valve body and I have heard people get them replaced for as cheap as about $175, but do not hold your breath for $175, start shopping now. DO NOT USE AAMCO, you will regret it!

I have worked with Johnny and as I recall they offer 2 year warranty on their work, even if you just purchase a reworked valve body or send yours in for reworking.
