I want to buy some performance part for my 98 beetle but find little to no parts for it..help!

I meant stay away from beetles..... period. LOL They are great little cars and fun to drive but sure require lots of maintenance and if folks don't have the time or the money Than they don't need to have one-MPO.

I bought this car as a first car just like that one day since the deal was good,98 New beetle 240 000km for 1300$.. now I just want to get myself a Golf TDi or something like that but i'm kinda stuck with the car..

I didn't have any problem with my beetle tho, everything is fine just some maintenance here and there

I have some picture of it on my profil,

I do have mods on it for now tho

Air intake,
deleted snowbox,
Deleted catalyc converter,
Deleted mid muffler.

I was looking foward camshaft and chip but It's my only car so I can't really wait for my ECU when it will be out of my car

I went to import pro (VW & audi specialised garage) for performance parts and they did some inspection and I have a low fuel psi problem... also on the diagnostic it showed

-system too lean
-cylinder one miss fire

we changed the MAF..nothing..changed the fuel filter...nothing...next step would be a new fuel pump..but for the missfire I just don't know..the car still run good tho! nothing wrong with it..!

but yesterday I broke something that I was thinking to be the differential gears since it was making a weird noise and vibrating soooooo bad! but then I saw it was only a exhaust clamps that broke off..wow..

I'm not sure about the timing belt, I bought the car in july last year from a mechanics that did no maintenance to the car as I can see from the maintenance I had to do! I had the code printed out, I'm gonna need to find them!

main catalyst is probably because I got it deleted

If you don't know about the timing belt, I'd get it done ASAP before you throw money at mods. If that fails, the 2.0 is an interference engine. Don't want engine damage!

For the misfires, I would look at spark plugs/wires or the ignition coil.

You have two codes for system too lean. Could be a number of things. I wouldn't jump to fuel pump right away though. Make sure you check things out and troubleshoot. Don't just throw parts at it.

We did a fuel pressure test, it is running around 27psi, before the test we tried out the MAF since the connection on the MAF sensor itself was bad, but it turned out to be ok, we then decided to do some maintenance by changing the fuel filter, and with the test we figured out that it would probably be the fuel pump.

Also I'm thinking about changing the timing belt soon, what are symptoms of worn out belt?, mine seems tight and everything tho. Is it a easy removal/installation!?

also talking about sparkplug, I changed them while changing the Valve cover gasket back in december!

Also, Another little thing about the car..

Everytime I shift I ear a pssshh sound coming from the engine like I had a turbo with a blow off.. My girlfriend think that I just made it up in my head since I want a turboed car so bad.. but she told me some people at school asking if I had a turbo because they heard the pssh sound... it only do it when I shift and a lil when I let off..the higher I rev it the louder it will be..
