so i went into advance auto to buy oil for my A/C system. i asked how much do i put into the system and he said the entire thing which is 8oz. i looked on the advance auto site and it said it only needs 4.6oz. what do i do? i already added the oil and put everything back together and i dont have the tools anymore to work on the A/C again. do i need to remove the compressor again and dump the oil out? the oil was PAG 100 w/ICE Refrigerant Oil (8 oz.)

According to the Bentley manual the system capacity is 4.6 ounces for a new system, ie. if all components have been replaced. They give allowances if not everything is replaced. For example, if you replace the compressor only you would need to add 50% of the total system capacity of oil.

A/C oil

If you replaced the compressor and put 8 ounces of oil in your system than it's too much because the total capacity is about 4.5 ounces and that's distributed amongst all the other components ie; condenser, evaporater, dryer, lines, expansion valve.
