My daughters A/C has stopped working all of a sudden. I've replaced the fuse wire and the fans come on when the A/C is turned on. The compressor is engaged and turning. It doesn't cycle. Just no cold air. At one point I thought the one line going into the evaporator was cold but got warm again. If it was low on Freon wouldn't the compressor cycle? It's not doing this. Any ideas? thx matt

With low refrigerant the compressor will cycle quickly so that it comes on occasionally but is off most of the time. It sounds like maybe your compressor is bad and not moving any refrigerant. If you have a fill gauge you could attach it to the low pressure side and watch as you turn on the A/C. You should see the pressure drop when the compressor runs.
