Took my 98 NB to the dealer to check the AC. They told me the compressor was bad. $200 for the vacuum and freon charge, then additional $1400 for a new compressor. Anyway, my AC kit from EBAY arrived. I swapped the Expansion valve already. Wondering if the compressor can be swapped from the top without removing the front end? Anyone done this before?confused:

Yes, but its not that hard really. You just have to remove the alternator and move the power steering pump out of the way. It is really worth it to save yourself some big bucks!
