I have a 1998 New Beetle and would like to add a USB cable to the factory radio, so that I can plug my i-pod and play all of my digital music through the factory speakers.

Have any of you New Beetle owners done this, and if so, could you please give me a step by step set of instructions as to what I would need to do.

Thanks so much in advance for your help, and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Dave I just use one of the cassette tape plug in method. I've seen them in walgreens and various auto part stores. Had mine for years.

Uses the headphone jack on your iPhone. Seems to work well.

There are also FM Transmitters/adaptors that you can plug into your "lighter"/accessory power plug. It uses the FM band & plays you Ipod thru the stereo using an unused FM channel. I love mine.
