Ok, my V2 arrived today.. stoked!
She's all updated, plugged in.. Ancel codes were accurate, though I like that it gives a bit more info. Looks like a short to ground for the rollover solenoid so I have some hunting to do.
The airbag module is "defective", I'll start hunting the forum on if I can code it, how to code it, etc.
If anyone has pointers I'd be happy for it!

Wow! Ask and receive.. thank you!!

I've been taking pics as I go for reference, but I got a "coding rejected" message for coding 7 section. Is there a way to tell for sure if the module is toast or should I start hunting one down ya think?

Maybe pointless but found some software dumps on another site, I'll see if I can determine the format and whether I can use the v2 to load it into the module. Trying to avoid a $500 part but may be inevitable.

Looking at some of the repair shops; resetting the hex data, is as cheap as $50 (assuming the airbag module isn’t damaged). VCDS can do basic factory level coding but pulling hex data and reflashing, i believe would require something else, like a special programmer kit.

I’m assuming they are doing a procedure; similar to this?

Good morning! Replaced brake rotors and pads yesterday and worked more on this.
I got the rollover solenoid fault to go away, so that's good.
One fault left, that is module defective.
I tried to write to it and got error 22, conditions not correct or request sequence error.
I have feelers out to a shop that may be able to install a new chip and to several salvage yards all over the country for the right module.
I called VW for giggles, parts guy told me even though my module is an "E", the vin search is saying "AM". I haven't found much about this, but evidently the "AM" is the newer model of "E" before they were discontinued.
If anyone has any ideas please post, getting desperate!
