I mess up & left the adapter in the lug on the rear when I was in a hurry to test drive after replacing the axle beam. It must have been thrown into a neighbors yard right off cause I stopped in about 30 yards to look for it.
But my question is, where can one be bought besides a VW dealership? I prob already know the answer to this though.

Maybe you could get the dealer (or someone else with a VW?) to remove all 4 locking lugbolts and replace them with standard hex ones.

that was my next plan, lots cheaper & then no worries about loosing it again. I'll drive by one of the tire stores to see if they can help me out first.

There's actually many different patterns on the locking lug, so any shop you go to would need to have the kit that the VW dealer is supposed to have.

My guess is that you'll be going to the VW dealer near you to get this done.

i already had the part # with the last 3 digits of 055 for the 10spoke flat. But somehow my son found the adapter in the grass. so I'm good.
