I own a 2000 Beetle TDI, it squeaks really bad while driving, it especially does when going over dips in the road. It sounds like it is coming from under the front. Has anyone else had this problem? It is very annoying.

Is it in the suspension or in the bay? How many miles on the car?

Have you replaced your front sway bar bushings? My car really started squeaking about 2 weeks ago, 146k miles and original bushings, wasn't the clunking sound some cars make when the bushings need replaced. Mechanic replaced for $105.88 and squeaking is gone.

Another possibility - do you have an aluminum or steel skidplate? Some owners on TDI Club said they notice a squeaking noise when the plate needs adjusted or tightened

Bushings or Mounts would be my first guess and what I'd check first.
