I have a 2003 1.8t beetle my key won't disarm the alarm so everytime I open the door or start the car the alarm goes off all I want to do right now is disconnect the alarm horn I read somewhere that it may be on the passenger side below the windshield anyone know for sure pictures or video welcome and encouraged thanks to whoever can help

If your looking stop I have found its secret hiding place passenger side under the cowl

You found it!!

While you are in there you should clean out the cowl and also pull the cabin air filter and the cover on the drivers side under the top dash cover and clean out all the debris.

Likely the problem is the drivers side door latch? Just open the passenger side door before you open the drivers door until you sort the issue.

If the alarm goes off, the engine may not start anyway because of the anti theft mechanism?? So be careful if you think just unplugging the horn may solve the problem..
