My antenna busted a few months ago so I bought one of those shark fin antennas, it works well but the only thing is it isn't strong enough (or the radio isn't powerful enough to power it) to pick up AM stations, I really don't want to buy ANOTHER antenna and I definitely don't wanna get rid of my OEM deck because of the phatbox but I loves my sports radio. Wud du I do's?

Most reviews I have read on these are negitive. The price to look cool. However you can add an inline amplifier. That should solve most reception problems. Most shark antennas will house the sirus micro antenna. listen to sports on that.

Love my FREE sports radio too:D

The AM reception problem is not exempt to the shark fins only. This is an issue that's plagued the nB since it's inception. There's been a thread or 2 here, that's voiced this problem.

My bug, still has the AM issue- some days good, other days... not so much; and this issue has been this way for me with the OEM antenna as well as my stubby antenna.
