Audi TT shift boot, trim ring, etc

Can someone help me out on this one, I believe I have all the parts I will need to make the TT trim fit, but I am having trouble figuring it out. I can't seem to find any instructions anyone has made. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

That is not what I am trying to do. I want to keep the factory dash and center console and modify it to use the Audi TT shift boot and trim ring. I do have an audi center console for the purpose of the mod, but I wish to keep it mostly beetle.
The boot on the beetle is held on with a crimp ring to the shift shaft. the boot itself is stapled to a plastic trip ring that snaps into the factor center console. once that is removed you will have to fab some sort of adapter to use the Audi boot. I have not seen it done that way. Somewhere I saw just the console adapted to the beetle but I don't know what thread it was in, I did try to find it for you
Thanks for your help, I am more concerned with how the trim ring will mount on the console. After thinking about it quite a bit, I have decided to to order this piece from bugs go go:

I will fill in the shifter cut out with fiberglass, cut out the circle for the tt shifter, sand it and have it painted.
