My girlfriend has a 1999 beetle with the 2.0 liter AEG motor and four speed tranny that I recently flushed and replaced the filter on. After replacing the gasket and filling the car back up we drove the car around all after noon and and I checked the tranny and found no leaks. The next morning when I went out to the garage there was a puddle of ATF on the floor and the gasket was wet all the way around. So I dropped the pan again and inspected the gasket. It was still in good shape so I cleaned it then installed a thin layer of rtv to both sides and bolted the pan back up. After letting the rtv cure I filled it back up and we took it out for another afternoon, throughout the afternoon I checked the seal and it was dry. That night we parked it in the garage again and i came out to another puddle the next morning. Does anybody have any ideas:confused: because I am about to lose my mind.
