Finally found a really well put together article on how exhaust gases work, and how to determine the correct diameter of pipe for you car.

This also explains the term "backpressure" very well, and clears up a lot of misconceptions about flow efficiency.

Not a bad one.

Of course, for us 1.8T folks, all this exhaust momboo-jumboo does not apply. We got it easy. For us its exactly the case when bigger is better ;) That is if you got enough turbo to back it up. If not then same rules still apply.

It's pretty indepth, w/some great information. Of course, it's all for an 8 cylinder, cause there ain't no replacement for displacement ... or something. :p (puh-lease)
