Hi ive just brought my beetle and when parked ive noticed the passenger side is low, both tyres are pumped up. It actually leans to the side, like im sitting in it,
I took out today and the yellow light with triangle and circle around,
The car made a big clunk and slowed down, i stopped and looked under but nothing, i thought i blown a tyre but nothing, started and drove fine,
My husband took out a hour later and the light didnt come on and drove fine,

Help please...
I love this car. I have no paperwork with it,

Car leans on one side, it could be worn upper strut mount. You can look through small vents under windshield and see if the upper mount has a big gap. The big gap indicate the worn mount. If not it could be the strut itself.

strut

How many miles on the car? if it's already passed 100k miles It's most likely the struts. Did this clunk happen while you were turning into or coming out of a parking lot with a small dip on the road? It could be the struts bearing. They have a small bearing between the mount bushing and the lower tightening nut. which usually need replacement around 100-125k miles.
