So I tried to connect the computer to the power inverter that was connected to the lighter socket.:( the computer died right away since there wasn't enough power.

anyways, right after this, blower motor doesn't work anymore.
AC button doesn't light up when pushed in.
Air circulation button lights up though.

I already checked the fuses located by the driver side door.

They recommend checking the knob but I don't think it is the main cause. is there anything else I should check?

I would pull the fuse and check it closer, as well as trying another fuse in its place before I rule it out entirely.
But it could be the switch/dial, a few years ago my turn signals stopped working, the reason was that the emergency blinker switch died.

As with your electrics in the home, if a plug, or switch on a circuit is damaged/disconnected then electricity cannot flow at all down that line.

If your blower works on highest setting then it is the resistor on the motor, the highest setting puts power straight to it. if it doesn't work at all then I can almost guarantee it is the switch fallen apart, this is the usual culprit and the reason your A/C doesn't light up. a very easy fix both ways.
