Ive had my 99 vw beetle about six months. In that time ive watched both of my new front tires run down to cords on the outside edges. The rest of the tire looks great except for about and inch and a half away from the sidewall. This happened in 9k miles

Ive run the recomended 26 psi pressure in my tires and i jacked up the front end and made sure the suspension was solid. To me this sounds like a camber issue however ive read on another forum that the camber is non adjustable. Does anybody have and ideas what may be the cause?

Also, consider higher pressure. I run 35psi in TurboTurbo (of course, this is on 17" wheels), and get even wear. Car has never been aligned since new.

Improper toe settings, assuming no other underlying issues an alignment will sort this out.

Worn suspension, bent suspension, alignment.

These cars are not hard on tires from what I have seen, so you should be able to get 50k out of a set if suspension is in good shape and aligned.

Nothing to adjust on these cars except toe anyway.
