So when I bought my convertible I had a friend tell me to never take it through the car wash. Is that true? It's a soft canvas top, Is there a reason for that? I'm guessing the wax they use?

I take my wife's Audi A4 Cabriolet though the ones with the felt that hang down and wiggle back and forth. I won't go through the ones with the giant rotating round brush. Her top is flawless. I coat it four times a year with 303 Fabric Guard http://www.303products.com/fabric-guard.html/

Thanks! I appreciate the into! I would really like to get the salt off of my car but there's no way with the way this spring is going that I am going to get be hose hooked up to the house any time soon
