CD changer quesiton

I have a 2000 with a Panasonic DP801 8 disc cd changer in the back, I need the cartridge for it that the cds go into, where can I find one all the ones I am finding are 6 disc not 8. Thanks!

I think maybe that's an aftermarket unit. I don't think they came with an 8 disc changer from the factory, just a 6 disc.

hm.. well I will look into it (like the mechanics of it) and see if it does have the 8 splines to it and get back to you guys, and also you may know, is there anything special I would have to do if I wanted to put in an aftermarket head unit, I don't know if a radio code will mess with me or not

You'd just need the right wiring harness adapter and to deal with the K-line (Ross-Tech: VCDS: Afterrmarket Radio Problem). Radio codes don't matter with aftermarket units.
