I am the owner of a 1999 New Beetle.

Recently I had my battery changed, and my clock/temperature settings were reset to military (24 hours) and celsius.

The manual tells how to change from celsius/fahrenheit settings, so that's no problem.

How do I change the clock to read in 12-hour format vs. 24-hour format.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I forget which one is which, but follow the same settings as you did for the temperature, only this time have the ignition on. (or have the ignition off; whichever's different)

Thanks!

That worked, thanks. Such a simple thing, yet they didn't have it in the owners manual, at least the 1999 owners manual.

Now my kids will be able to read the time of day in the evening without having to do any math.

so i need some help!

um, i just recently purchased a 2000 2.0L NB and the time is in 24-hour format, which i know how to read BUT wuld like it in 12 hour format. except the problem here is that i never got a VW NB Manual. so im in the dark when it comes to know what to do, so if someone could tell me all the steps to change it that would be awsome!
