Confusion about the front brake pads sensors?

Hej, every experts:

Ask a confusion about the front brake pads sensors. My car is a 2000 New Beetle 2.0L GL. I am going to replace my front pads and rotors since sometimes I heard squeak noise when the car was making the final stop especially from ramp up.

I checked the O'Reilly store, they have several different kinds such as:

$41.99 MKD687 without electric sensor, wear sensor not included

$29.99 MKD687A with electric sensor, wear sensor not included

$31.99 SM768A (no mention about electric sensor but the picture shows a wire connected to one pad), wear sensor included

$18.99 MKD768 without electric sensor, wear sensor not included

$18.99 MKD768A (no mention about electric sensor but the picture shows no wire connected to one pad), wear sensor included

Can any expert tell me the difference between such electric sensor and wear sensor? They seem like the same thing, but why some pad includes one without another one. They really confuse me a lot!:banghead:

Thanks so much for your help!

pads

Just make sure you get the semi-metallic so you wont' get too much brake dust on the rims. If the one's you have now have a sensor wire than put the same kind of pads with a sensor wire connection.
Check your driver's side inside pad to see if there is a connector pig tail attached. You can use the ones without the connector but your brake wear light will stay on, on the dash. Best to get the same that is on the car.
