Ok, I did read posts from 2008 about using various types of glue, the most successful seems to have used Rhino Glue, industrial strength. However, I googled it and there is no Rhino product called Industrial strength. If anyone has done this can you tell me which Rhino glue you bought?

I found this on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Rhino-Glue-Heavy-Duty-Clear/dp/B000S76N4M

is that it?
My top on my 2007 bug is a mess (no comments about the duct tape junk on top, was trying to keep the water out)

Thanks, Susan

I used the 3M urethane adhesive method with primer 2 months ago and it has held up well. My only advice is don't use the masking tape as some of mine was stuck under the adhesive. Its easy to trim and scrape away after it dries.

Only one solution to this . New hood

hoods were rated for about 10 years.

I think people are forgetting how old these cars are.
If the rear window blows out it literally is game over

looking at 2 k for a new one. Worth it if your into it and want to keep the car if not it’s basically sell for scrap.

personally a new hood on my 05 was awesome. The cars like new now and I wouldn’t change a thing
