I have a 1999 Volkswagen beetle GLS 2.0 I recently replaced the radiator (due to the original being cracked) and now I'm having a problem where the coolant is leaking from the flanges attached to the radiator so I want to know if I should purchase new flanges or if there's just something that I'm missing?The upper radiator flange has its o-ring the lower radiator flange did not have an o-ring and the one is leaking from the most is the upper flange.

There should be o-rings in the upper and lower connectors. The original ones are probably deformed and need to be replaced. They should be pretty cheap at the VW dealer. Replacement hoses usually come with new connectors (and o-rings) on the ends. This should give some idea of what the replacement parts are:
