:confused: where is the sensor located that turns on the cooling fan for radiator?

also where is the relay that activates fan?

have 2000 beetle 2.0

would appreciate any help

From your questions, it sounds like your fan isn't working - first thing I would check are the fuses on top the battery. One of them controls the fans... they are known to melt.

The sensor is located in the bottom of the radiator. Look for a cable plugging into the sensor. To test the fans, remove the cable, and short the pins together. If the fans start, the sensor is bad.
The fan control module is located at the far end of the cable. Look just below the battery.

love this site have got more good imformation that my vw dealer acts like is a military secret!
