Hi everyone i have a 2002 beetle GlS with alot of performance mods done, but my question is I have a short ram 3inch intake, the vacuum lines are in but i dont have the crankcase breather hose on anymore, it runs great without it being piped into the intake. This hose has been piped into the fender well. is this ok? I seem to be gaining a bit more power without it being connected to the intake. The tube i used is the same diameter as the stub off the crankcase. It breaths very well tho, is this bad for the engine? ....some people say its not and some say it is i dont know who to believe after extensive research....

Give it some time for an answer...you posted late last night and bumped early this morning. I don't have an answer but I'm sure someone else will. Just give it some time.

I don't see a problem with it. All old cars use to vent the crankcase out to air. It might make a little mess from oil getting spued out. Just make sure you have a breather filter on it.
